What is the Singapore Marathon?
The Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon Carnival is an exciting event for participants of all ages and fitness levels. With running and walking opportunities ranging from distances of 10km up to 42km, Monash University will support 300 of its students, alumni and staff in this event.
TeamMONASH™
Monash University participates in a number of global community fitness events to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.TeamMONASH™ includes students, staff, alumni and members of the public who can be participants, support crew or members of the cheer squad.
By registering as a participant or volunteer you automatically become a member of TeamMONASH™. Being part of the team entitles you to a Free Puma running top, either singlet or t-shirt valued at $90 and training support. At the conclusion of the event your are invited to theTeamMONASH™ VIP marquee which offers free massage and drinks for all team members.
This years walk/run options include:
Starting at the Esplanade Bridge, the flat, shaded and scenic course will take the runners through some of the most historical sites of Singapore, picturesque East Coast Park coastal route, the Business District of Shenton Way and finish at the Padang.
- Quarter Marathon (10km)
- Half Marathon Run (21.1km)
- Marathon (42.2km)
Volunteering – Can You Lend a Hand?
As a member of theTeamMONASH™Support Crew you have the opportunity to enjoy the fun and the experience of the Community Fitness Events with Monash Sport without even raising a sweat.
All volunteers receive a certificate, an official Support Crew t-shirt, and access to theTeamMONASH™marquee on the day.
