3rd Place for Monash at Australian University Championship - Triathlon
Monash University fielded a strong team which finished 3rd overall behind two Queensland Universities at the Australian University Triathlon Championship held at Mooloolaba , Queensland on 26th March. Each member completed a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run.
The Monash team was lead by Tom Jepson who finished fourth overall in the open men race. He was supported on the men's side by Nick Conway who finished 8th and BenTatti who finished 22nd in age group men's race.
The women's team also performed exceptionally well with Fiona Turner placing third and Sarah Mason right behind her in fourth place in age group women's race.
The Monash triathlon sport manager Sarah Mason said, "Monash did really well as a team to place 3rd overall. The whole event was organised really well and we all enjoyed ourselves very much. I'm sure we will all be keen to try and win next year".
