Bai Dominates the Court!

Alison Bai, currently ranked number 10 in  women’s single’s in Australia has further shown her domination, crushing her Melbourne University opponent 9 – 1. Bai controlled the game from start to finish, with empowering ground - strokes and even stronger overheads, it was never in doubt who would win this match. “It was good and I played well”, she said. Alison started playing tennis at the age of six and experienced staggering success from the moment she stepped onto the court. A representative of Australia’s junior Fed Cup team, and runner up at the Oceania Closed junior championships, Bai is a great talent which Monash are proud to have on board.

In other tennis news, Monash men won two games in the singles and lost two games in the doubles to Queensland University, whereas the women won two games against Melbourne University in singles and lost two games in doubles. The day started with Josh Katz’s astonishing victory against Queensland University’s best player Nathan Hook 9-7 . “We got silver last year and this year we will take out the gold, and of course we are confident.”
