Baseball Victory for Monash

 Monash defeated Vic Uni 10-3 in an eventful baseball match on Wednesday. Home runs by Andrew McGregor and catcher, Tim Bail, along with all-round tight fielding from the players, helped the Monash team to a seemingly easy victory. Clumsy misfielding by Vic Uni also added to Monash’s runs score.
Coach and Captain Russell Ferguson was elated with the outcome “It was a pretty good win. We had a decent line up and the win set us up for the finals”.
After finishing 4th in the games last year, Monash are hoping to take home the gold in ’08, “I would be disappointed if we didn’t make it to the gold medal match” Bail said after the match.
The win places Monash in the 2nd pool position.
