Hawthorn Football Club - Training and I.T Opportunities

Have you ever wanted to be on the inside of an AFL club environment?

Hawthorn Football Club has moved its base to Waverley Park – just 5 minutes away from Monash Uni.

We have a number of opportunities for students to become involved in voluntary positions within the football department. This is a unique chance to become directly involved with AFL Coaches and Players, and get an attention grabbing addition to your C.V.!

Students interested must genuinely be able to work well within a team environment and be of exceptional character.

An ability to attend at least one of the main training sessions each week is mandatory. These sessions usually occur on Monday and Wednesday afternoons and Friday lunch times.

Training and Match Day Trainers

We would like to increase our pool of trainers, particularly if you have Trainers’ or First Aid qualifications, or are willing to obtain them. This would be highly suitable to Physiotherapy or Human Movement / Recreation students.

Training Attendants

The coaches are seeking a team of training attendants to assist them at training - managing the equipment within training drills, providing water to players and other general duties.  

HFC / Box Hill Hawks IT and Stats Coordinator

We are looking for IT literate people with some networking knowledge to coordinate capturing and coding of vision and statistics on game-day for the Box Hill Hawks. This may lead into an opportunity for the right person to assist with the AFL vision and statistical analysis of games.

The position involves;

• Setting up laptops and printers for data entry
• Setting up video recording devices
• Report key statistical information throughout match to the Senior Coach
• Work with a team of statisticians to provide statistics
