Junior Triathlete of the Year

Monash University student and TeamMONASH™ sponsored triathlete Jamie Huggett has been named the 2009 2XU Australian Junior Triathlete of the Year.

He will be recognised at an official Triathlon Australia function at the ITU Mooloolaba World Cup Triathlon at the end of March.

Despite finishing 4th at the ITU Oceania Championships last weekend on the Gold Coast, Huggett accumulated enough points over the four race series to claim the title by a single point.

Huggett placed well in all four races in the series, not dropping below 5th place, and picked up a race win in Canberra. For his efforts, he has also picked up a 2XU sponsorship package.
