Ten medal haul at NSW swimming championships
Monash University Swim Club members won five gold and five silver medals and produced 30 top 10 performances at the recent NSW Age Championships.
Lyarna Graham, 16, won gold in the 100m and 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
Marko Ivosev, 14, took first place in the 100m and 200m butterfly and second in the 200m and 400m individual medley, 200m breaststroke and 200m backstroke. Ivosev broke the Victorian age record in the 400m individual medley in a time of 4:43.34.
Kahlia Marsh won silver in the 400m individual medley.
Marsh and Ivosev were also selected to represent Victorian in the Pacific Games in Canberra in December.
Other results: David Parr - fourth in 100m backstroke, seventh in 200m backstroke, eighth in 200m individual medley; Christina Kappas – sixth in 50m butterfly and 100m breaststroke, seventh in 100m butterfly and eighth in 50m breaststroke; Zoe Whitfield – seventh in 200m breaststroke, eighth in 200m individual medley and ninth in 400m individual medley; Isabelle Robinson – seventh in 400m individual medley.
Five senior Monash swimmers will compete in the NSW Open Championships on 22-23 August.
