Promising Swimming Talents Emerge

The 29th Annual Lorne Pier to Pub was held on Saturday, with some presence from Monash University felt by the 4300 swimmers who took part in the event. Two Monash University Swimming Club members finishing in the top three places in their respective categories. 

Michael Dehaini finished 3rd in the Junior Boys category in a time of 13.22, then backed up this performance an hour later competing in the Men’s Open Superfish wave to finish 12th overall, in a time of 13.10.

Isabelle Robinson also finished 3rd in the Junior Girls category in a time of 14.39, she also competed in the Women’s Open Superfish wave, narrowly missing out of the places to finish 5th overall in a time of 14.04.

The TeamMONASHTM supported Portsea Swim Classic 1.2km ocean swim is being held this Saturday 17 January, which will see these swimmers fight it out for an improvement on these results.
