University Swim Star
Wednesday 17 March
The Australian Swimming Championships have kicked off with a bang in Sydney this week and run to Sunday 22 March.
Tay Zimmer, Monash Sport staff member, who also trains with and competes for the Monash University Swim Club (MUSC) will be flying the Monash flag competing in three events 50, 100 and 200 metres backstroke. Her events will be held from today.
Finishing third in the 200 metres backstroke at the recent Victorian Championships, Tay is placed well and is looking forward to bettering her time.
Tay has been training well since joining MUSC, under the guidance of Head Coach Ross Price. She has competed a week long training camp held at Thredbo over the summer as part of her preparations.
Tay’s results will be uploaded here and to the rotating scoreboard on the Monash Sport homepage.
