Monash Sport staff member to Manage World Uni Winter Games Team

Monash Sport staff member, Briony Schofield, will be heading off to Italy in January for the World University Winter Games. She will be an assistant chef de mission / team manager for the Australian team, with her main role focussed around team administration whilst at the event.

The 2007 Universiade is being held in Torino from 16-28 th January, with Bardonecchia and Pragelato as satellite venues.

The team comprises of 14 athletes competing in alpine skiing, cross country, snowboarding and figure skating as well as officials, coaches and medical support.

"It will be a great experience in supporting the athletes so they can perform at their best" Briony said.

"I'll be able to bring extra skills home with me for managing athletes in Australia"
