Learn to Swim
The Doug Ellis Swimming Pool offers one of Melbourne's best Learn to Swim Programs. All classes are conducted by experienced, AUSTSWIM qualified and caring staff in a fun and safe environment. Participants can progress through a graduated series of levels to become fully proficient swimmers. These lessons are graded according to ability and are offered at a variety of times.
Programs offered include:
- Learn to Swim Program operating 7 days a week, 4 terms a year at competitive prices with small class sizes
- Infant Aquatics for children from 6 months of age
- Squad Programs catering for Stroke Development swimmers through to National Level competitors
- All enrolled and fully paid students are entitled to free practice swimming outside of their lesson time
- Adult Learn to Swim classes
- Flippa Ball Program for level 3 and above

Private Lessons
- One-to-one private classes can be arranged by appointment only.
- $35 per half an hour class.
- Please contact the Swim School co-ordintaor Ariane Tebb on 9905 1155 or Ariane.Tebb@sport.monash.edu.au with preferences of times and days.
Prices
- Lessons are $12.80 per lesson (including G.S.T.) payable by the term.
- The balance of fees are payable no later than 2 weeks after the start of term.
- Monash students, Concession Card holders and Authorised Users will receive a discount on production of their I.D. cards. This discount is not transferable to friends or family. Note that only one type of discount is available per family.
Free Practice Swims
We have introduced FREE PRACTICE SWIMS for all enrolled and financial Swim Class students at any time during the Pool's opening hours. We believe this will be most valuable to all and that it will enhance each student's learning process here at the Monash University Pool.
