Cricket School

Aim

Monash University Cricket School aims to support Cricket Victoria pathways with innovative education, training and development opportunities for junior cricketers.

Graham Yallop, Director of Cricket at Monash Sport, oversees a three stream program. The first, and core stream focuses on education and theory to prepare players for the mental side of the game. The second stream, or development squad introduces additional practical cricket sessions and matches  to the theoretical stream, ensuring players understand the application of the theory. The third stream is the Representative Squad, this squad contains the premier players in the school and squad members will have the opportunity to represent the school in a number of matches.

Theoretical classes and practical sessions will all be taken by qualified instructors and experts in the sport of cricket. The program will run from April 2009 to March 2010 and is designed to ensure cricketers can represent their regular clubs while receiving the unique opportunities provided by the cricket school.
