John Bertrand AM (BE 1970) - Sailing

  • Bachelor of Engineering with honours 1970
  • Olympic Games Bronze Medal - 1976
  • Victorious Skipper of Australia II in the 1983 America's Cup
  • Represented Australia in five America's Cups, three Olympic Games and numerous world championships
  • The Australia II victory was voted by the Australian Sports Hall of Fame as the greatest Australian team performance in 200 years of sport.
  • Member of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
